First Batch

Just finished the first batch of test apparel, which included S, M, L and XL sizes in black, gray and white. Learned a bunch, but still need to figure out a lot.

Blue Violet & Green Interference

So this stuff is pretty rad. The image below is from one of four pieces I did on black foamboard — the interference paint tends to show a lot better against darker backgrounds.

A look at the other half of the same commission mentioned yesterday (Elle A Dit One). This piece also an 18″ x 36″ canvas. Both pieces were painted at the same time with the idea that they’d be displayed together.

Again, the commission was based on this painting I’d done at the shop.

Elle A Dit One … 18″ x 36″ Acrylic on Canvas

Here’s a commissioned 18″ x 36″ canvas painting I did for a friend — she liked the colors in the painting below it, which I did on packing paper while working at the art shop.

I don’t know … the original still holds a certain charm for me personally. The violet pops better against the light brown and the bronze and gold seem to compliment it as well. The painting below was the first I experimented including spray and splatter and hard edges.

Accents

I’m a fan of going big — painting on a large scale allows abstract expressionism to take form with little limitations, however, the small accent pieces are fun every now and then too. I did these a while back for my grandma, but plan on expanding with various colors and sizes.

Violet Sex

This 18″ x 36″ canvas is a good example of just how dark certain colors can be … there was very little black used to create this darker piece.
